What I see today

So much to do. So little time. Though with the homeschooling I am strangely more productive then when the kids were in school.

Birds for mobiles. I have a craft show in Nov.

Four baby chairs and 7 adult size to refinish.

This amazing pile of Afghani beaded discs. I can’t decide how to use them. The best wall garland ever? They smell like tea.

A cuckoo clock to gift, here is the primer stage.

Pinterest project- owl buddy

I found an easy sewing project for little owl stuffies. I pinned it here via efemera ink. This woodsy doll can be stitched in 30 min and is easy enough for a child. I liked the result, but don’t have a reason to make a bunch of them right now. Perhaps a future party favor? It is a great one to keep in the project toolbox and a fun use for scraps.

Pinterest project-yarn and pom tapestry

March 23, 2012 § 2 Comments

This project is based on a rope rug made and given away by Free People. I pinned it here on my “To make” board.

I had never made anything with poms before and I love their effect! I used up many scraps of left-over yarn and have 91inches of wall hanging I really adore! I used grey wool felt as the base and coiled and glued for many weeks. Their method is available as a DIY, but is really hard! Just coil and glue my friends. It cost a few dollars for the felt and the poms.
