Remember I bought this guy?
Painted this guy green:
Stuck them together, and now he lives with his rhino friend.
And they are very solemn together. I love it.

This week we put away the hunting garb, freshly washed. No elk this year. But the boys are all still practicing their elk calls. Even the baby.
Christmas is coming. It all fits in one box for us. Mostly beloved books. I own 6 ornaments.
This is my favorite Christmas bit. I got this nativity in Kenya, Dec ’05. All the pieces fit in the beautiful banana leaf box.
The stack of scarves for gift wrap is growing. The presents are going to be so pretty! I’m going to sew ribbon on some of them. I’ll be thrilled to not have a bag of paper waste on Christmas!
I finished this crown and dress for a little birthday girl today. I do so hope they fit. It is my most favorite thing in the whole world to give good gifts. The postman is my constant conspirator.

Last week I did a short holiday craft show. I haven’t sold at one for a couple of years. I still had an overstock of hats to sell and I earned a little cash, which is always nice. My husband has encouraged my to market my birds more. I made a wall installation that we love. I didn’t have a way to hang branches at the show, but I’m trying for craigslist exposure now. My basket of birds.
Modern nursery decor.
Pinterest project- hang it all

Things in my house always look best in repeat. Many frames, many jars, many ties. A display of many similar items pulls things together and gives you big visual impact for your little objects. I love all the ceilings full of poufs or globes seen on pinterest. Have a collection of anything? Hang it from the ceiling. Instant art! I started with five objects. Several were thrifted and the big fish scale lamp I covered with dictionary pages over a year ago. This is our master bedroom. It is huge and empty. And I’ve come to realize that I’m going to need a lot more things to hang for this cluster to be filled out. But here is a start.

I have had this set of spigot handles pinned for a long time. From an etsy seller whose collections I really love. But I didn’t want to pay $54. Something about the colors, size and texture I love. So I found a set of 20 knobs on ebay. A few needed help with color, but most are originally chippy, roughed and delightfully heavy. I used shadow boxes from Joanne’s with the glass removed. I like being able to touch the shapes, as if they are installed on the wall. And I have 2 sets! I’m having trouble with where to hang them. Which set do you like better?
