Pinterest project-the first of the bunting

My preferred party decor is strands of yard and strung felt beads, but I do love bunting too. Take a look at all the bunting inspiration on pinterest!
This set of banners was made from a thrifted quilted jacket. $6.
Unique, right? When I cut the lining out the construction was double sided quilted pieces stitched together with raw edges. I cut a template from a cracker box and sliced out my triangles. This coat yielded 43 pennants and over 9 yards of banner goodness. There are a lot of mattress ticking type patterns.
I made it to hang in the master bedroom but it is not quite a perfect fit so I’ve listed it in my etsy shop.

I found him at the thrift store last night. He graced the mantle for 12 hours and was smashed this morning, a casualty of joyful growing lives. What a sweet little owl.
