Pinterest project- hang it all

November 3, 2012 § Leave a Comment

Things in my house always look best in repeat. Many frames, many jars, many ties.  A display of many similar items pulls things together and gives you big visual impact for your little objects. I love all the ceilings full of poufs or globes seen on pinterest. Have a collection of anything? Hang it from the ceiling. Instant art! I started with five objects. Several were thrifted and the big fish scale lamp I covered with dictionary pages over a year ago. This is our master bedroom. It is huge and empty. And I’ve come to realize that I’m going to need a lot more things to hang for this cluster to be filled out. But here is a start.

A very nice set of lamps, crackle finish stoneware, a matched pair. Butter yellow and $12 each. With a new shade, so cute!

Thrifted for $3. An original painting from a local artist. It is 6×8″ and has the identifying card still attached! I cleaned it and used a finishing spray on it and sanded the frame a little, but I decided the gilt and green frame should stay.

Here is how it looks on the current gallery wall.

Thrifted for 2$. Enjoyment for years.

I think they are destined for more bracelets. Lovely tarnished texture.

Where Am I?
