Can’t collect too many dishes. Breakable space hoggers. But just a few. Some day I’ll have a whole table set with mix and match awesomeness. 2 Anthro plates this week for $1.06. Sweet!

I keep finding them; colorful, bordered, never-used old timer cotton squares. I have quite a pile now and will be stringing them up for bunting soon. But I can’t decide whether to hang them diagonally, or a squares. what do you think? Here are two examples: Square-hung and diagonal hung.

I thrifted this bunch of large corks. They were strung on a rope. They were once for stopping up demijohns of wine, and have a hole for an airlock while the wine ferments. They are all different diameters but one fit my damigiana from Italy perfectly! I hope to use the rest in cork art, kind of like this from my pinterest “to make” board. Vintage flowered fabric in the most curious of textures, it is slippery and stretchy, like gym shorts. More than 2 yards for $2, bordered and straight into the dress-up box.

And this lovely gem, a completely hand-stitched potholder, beautiful and intricate with all it’s little individual scales. Old but never used. $2. Take that, Anthropologie.

It is fun to watch what people like and what people buy. So the whale is the new owl in kids decor. You should buy a stump to use as a chair or side table. And succulents and cacti are filling favorite retail establishments. I see new things to sew! Take a look at these fabric potted cacti. From Anthropologie.

I am going to plant some. There are miles of plant pots at the thrift store.
